What is the soft-start of an electric motor?
Soft-starter is used to connect between power supply and motor. It will make the motor input voltage from 0 gradually rise to thefull voltage of the motor according the default function relations. It is reached by control its internal thyristor conduction angle. This process is called the soft start. During this process, motor starting torque increase gradually,and speed will also increase gradually.
